Omar Akel

Omar Akel has a long history of working in the technology industry. Omar began their career in 2011 as Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer at ifood.jo. In 2016, they became the CEO of Foodo Iraq, a new startup similar to www.ifood. In 2017, they founded Basket, a website found at www.basket.app.

Omar Akel completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computational and Applied Mathematics from the University of Manitoba in 2009. Prior to that, they obtained an IB in Applied Mathematics from Modern Montessori School - Jordan in 2004.
