Dr. Carmen Brown has a range of work experience in the field of obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Carmen is currently serving as the Clinical Director of Women's Health at Bass Coast Health since April 2022. Before that, they held the position of Director at Magnolia Women's Health from September 2021.
In 2020, Dr. Brown worked as the Managing Director of ExpatMD, where they specialized in assisting North American physicians in relocating and finding jobs in Australia or New Zealand.
From 2016 to 2022, they worked as a Consultant Obstetrician at Djerriwarrh Health Services. Prior to that, from 2013 to 2016, they served as a Consultant Obstetrician Gynaecologist at Nelson Marlborough Health. Their previous role was as an Obstetrician Gynaecologist at ALII HEALTH CENTER from June 2012 to October 2013.
Dr. Carmen Brown has a Bachelor's degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from Tulane University. Dr. Carmen subsequently attended Morehouse School of Medicine, where they earned their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in 2000. In 2006, Dr. Brown became board certified as an Obstetrician Gynecologist by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). Dr. Carmen further obtained a fellowship and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) in 2016.
