Simon Howard

Simon Howard is the current CTO and Director at Bastion Security Group, where he brings years of experience in the cybersecurity field. As the Founder, Director, and CTO of ZX Security Ltd, based in Wellington, New Zealand, Simon leads a team that focuses on testing the security of networks, applications, and individuals. Additionally, as the Co-founder and Organiser of Kiwicon / Kawaiicon, Simon plays a key role in organizing one of the top technical computer security conferences in the region. With a background in various roles such as Chief Technology Officer, Director, Security Consultant, and Head of Networking & Security in companies like Exafern Limited, Intuisec Limited, and ControlCircle, Simon has demonstrated expertise in information security management, security consultancy, design, and implementation. Prior to his current roles, Simon worked as a Security Engineer / Solutions Architect at DMZGlobal and as a Software Engineer at Allied Press Limited. Simon is currently pursuing a Certificate in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors in New Zealand.
