Carola Jüstel

Carola Jüstel, MSc has a diverse and extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Carola has held various leadership roles such as CEO, Director, and Senior Vice President in companies like Octapharma Biopharmaceuticals, Pepscan, and Sanquin. Carola's expertise includes business development, strategic alliances, change management, and R&D in the field of biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. Carola has also been involved in projects related to personalized medicine, vaccine development, and recombinant platform technology.

Carola Jüstel, MSc, received their Dipl.-Ing. in Biotechnologie from Berlin University of Applied Sciences Berlin (BHT) from 1990 to 1995. Carola also completed an Internship in Leprosy and Leishmaniasis research at Instituto de Biomedicina, Caracas, Venezuela in 1992. Carola furthered their education with various programs including a Strategic R&D Management program at INSEAD in 2010, an AMP in Advanced Management Program in 2011, a Capstone Module in Advanced Management Training in 2013, an MSc in Executive Master of Management and Organization at TIAS School for Business and Society from 2017 to 2018, and a Venture Finance Program at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford in 2022. In addition, they obtained a certification as an HBA Mentor from the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association in 2021.
