John Guenther currently serves as the Research Leader in Education and Training at Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education, focusing on developing an evidence base for policies related to education and training for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Previous experience includes a role as Principal Research Leader for Remote Education at Flinders University, where John worked on research projects aimed at improving educational outcomes for Indigenous communities in remote Australia. Additionally, John has extensive consultancy experience with Cat Conatus, providing research and evaluation services across Tasmania and nationally, and has held academic positions at the University of Tasmania and Charles Darwin University. John Guenther holds a PhD in Vocational Education and Training from Charles Darwin University, along with degrees in Missiology and Applied Science.
