Sumithra Sugavanam

Sumithra Sugavanam has extensive experience in software development and engineering, currently serving as Project Lead Developer at Baton Systems since June 2017. Prior to this role, Sumithra held the position of Principal Software Engineer at Yahoo! Inc from May 2009 to April 2015, focusing on ad targeting applications and big data platforms. Sumithra also worked as Technical Lead at the Yahoo Software Development Center from June 2004 to February 2009, contributing to various projects, including real-time B2B billing and custom ETL development. Earlier experience includes a role as a Member of the Technical Staff at Oracle from June 2002 to March 2004, concentrating on PL/SQL and Perl for the Oracle Portal application. Sumithra holds an Engineer’s Degree in Computer Engineering from Bharathiar University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Government College of Technology, Coimbatore.
