Gary Smylie

Gary Smylie has an extensive background in cybersecurity and information management, currently serving as the Classified Cybersecurity Manager and Information System Security Manager at Idaho National Laboratory since May 2011. Gary also holds the title of Chief Enterprise Architect in Information Management and has experience as a Technology Architect, IT Project Portfolio Manager, and a Consultant in nuclear waste management with Bechtel BWXT Idaho, LLC. Prior to their role at Idaho National Laboratory, Gary Smylie held various positions at Information Systems Laboratories, Scientech, and Portland General Electric, alongside military experience in the US Navy's Nuclear Power Program. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Western Governors University and a degree in Technical Illustration from Coffeyville Community College.
