Richard Carlson

Richard "Barney" Carlson has a strong background in research and evaluation of electrified transportation charging infrastructure. Richard "Barney" worked as a Principal Research Engineer at Idaho National Laboratory from 2009 onwards, focusing on the development and harmonization of industry codes and standards, assessment of cybersecurity risks and vulnerabilities, and the improvement of wireless power transfer safety and efficiency. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Engineer at Argonne National Laboratory from 2006 to 2009 and as a Research Test Engineer at General Motors from 2000 to 2006.

Richard "Barney" Carlson obtained a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Davis, where they studied from 1994 to 2000.
