Robert Browning

Robert Browning, Ph.D., is a highly experienced Senior Research Structural Engineer currently employed at Battelle since September 2023. As President and Co-Founder of Browning Solutions, LLC since May 2021, Robert has consistently contributed to the field of structural engineering. Previous roles include Engineer at Synthetik Applied Technologies and Research Structural Engineer at the US Army Corps of Engineers, where expertise in blast-resistant design, finite element analysis, and dynamic simulations was developed. Earlier experience encompasses positions at Southern Research Institute and ARA, focusing on experimental design and structural response to blast loading. Robert holds a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Engineering/Computational Mechanics from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and advanced degrees in Civil Engineering from Auburn University and the same university.
