James Nguyen

James Nguyen is a Mechanical Engineer with experience in various roles across multiple companies, including Apptronik and BattleBots. Currently, James holds the position of Mechanical Engineer at Apptronik since June 2024 and serves as Design Engineer at BattleBots. Previous experience includes working as a Mechanical Engineer at OTIMUS, where James was employed from October 2022 to December 2023, and as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at REV Robotics. James also contributed to NASA as a Robotics Academy Intern, leading a subteam for battery cell management for the Lunar Terrain Vehicle and collaborating on design standards. In academia, James was the Combat Robotics Club President and a Peer Learning Assistant at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where James pursued a Mechanical Engineering degree from 2020 to 2024, following graduation from Westlake High School in 2020.
