Stan Sato is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in both information technology and woodworking. Currently serving as a Ship Carpenter Volunteer at the Pacific Battleship Center since August 2012, Stan contributes to the restoration of the USS Iowa, focusing on innovative, budget-friendly solutions for the wooden deck. As the owner of Sato Engineering and Manufacturing since July 1986, Stan has designed unique furniture solutions for various situations. Prior to these roles, Stan retired from Boeing Company in September 2011, where responsibilities included managing a critical voice and data network infrastructure. Additional experience includes roles at Computer Sciences Corporation and Hughes Electronics, where Stan held positions involving IT management and programming. Educationally, Stan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, obtained in 1979.
