Bouke Hylkema

Bouke Hylkema has a diverse work experience. Bouke currently works as the Strategy Lead at Battolyser Systems since April 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Bain & Company where they held various roles including Manager, Consultant, Senior Associate Consultant, and Associate Consultant from 2018 to 2023. Bouke also worked as a Bestuurslid at Entrée from March 2020 to June 2022. In 2022, Bouke took on the role of Head of Germany / Chief of Staff (a.i.) at Pieter Pot, where they were responsible for preparing the roll-out of the company to Germany and running strategic projects. Before joining Bain, they worked as a Graduate Intern at AkzoNobel from February 2017 to July 2017, where they analyzed opportunities to counterbalance fluctuations in wind and solar power generation. Bouke also had a role as a Team Member at Stichting International Research Projects Delft from November 2015 to September 2016, and as a Research intern in the Innovation department at Heerema Marine Contractors from February 2014 to December 2014.

Bouke Hylkema has a diverse and extensive education history. Bouke started their education at Stedelijk Dalton Lyceum, where they attended from 2004 to 2010. Bouke pursued a Bilingual Gymnasium curriculum with a focus on Natural Sciences and Economics.

Following their high school years, Bouke attended Delft University of Technology from 2010 to 2014, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering, Policy Analysis and Management with distinction. During their undergraduate studies, they received commendations for their exceptional academic performance.

Bouke furthered their education at the same institution by enrolling in the Master's program in Systems Engineering, Policy Analysis and Management. Bouke completed this program with the highest honors, earning a Master of Science degree (Cum Laude).

In 2014, Bouke attended Fudan University to participate in a Summer School program focused on the Political Economy of China. Bouke extended their educational experience abroad by participating in a semester exchange program at ETH Zürich in 2016-2017.

In 2017, Bouke pursued their passion for Business Analytics by enrolling in the Master's program at Imperial College London. Bouke successfully completed their studies in 2018, earning a Master of Science degree in Business Analytics with distinction.
