Chrissie Sorenson

Dr. Chrissie Sorenson was born in the USA and grew up on the beautiful Monterey Peninsula in California. She holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of San Diego, an MBA in International Management from the Monterey Institute of International Studies and a Bachelor’s in German from the University of California, Davis.

Raised as a typical Third Culture Kid (TCK) - mother is German, father is Canadian – she feels most at home in a multi­cultural environment and has raised her family to do the same. Chrissie is married and has three children. Her two older children have both graduated with IB Diplomas, with one having finished his studies in the UK and the other in Australia. Her youngest son, Dirk, is in the BIS Secondary School in Haimhausen, and particularly likes swimming, math and books. After 20 years as a General Contractor, her husband, Darin, has his own business as a Handyman for ex-pats.

To maintain balance, she enjoys swimming, yoga, reading and most of all, spending quality time with her family.
