Dr. Susanne Zellner

Dr. Susanne Zellner has a diverse work experience in various scientific and research roles. Dr. Susanne started their career as an Intern at a veterinarian practice in 2012. In 2015, they worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Saarbrücken until 2017. During this time, they also undertook a Doctorate (Dr. rer. nat.) at SyNergy - Munich Cluster for Systems Neurology from 2017 to 2022. In 2016, they also worked as a Voluntary Research Intern at the Luxembourg Institute of Health, where they participated in research projects related to neuroimmunological disease models. Currently, since 2023, they are employed at Bavarian Nordic as a Scientist, where they are responsible for the development, optimization, and validation of assays and the maintenance of laboratory equipment. Dr. Susanne also supports the implementation and maintenance of quality systems and performs method transfers and training for colleagues.

Dr. Susanne Zellner has an extensive education history. Dr. Susanne earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München between 2017 and 2022. Prior to that, they completed their Master's Degree in Human and Molecular Biology at the University of Saarland from 2013 to 2015.

Dr. Zellner also had the opportunity to study as an exchange student at the University of Lund in 2012 and 2013, where their focus was on Immunology and Sensory Biology. Before their master's studies, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Hamburg from 2010 to 2013.

Their education journey began at Gymnasium Edertalschule Frankenberg (Eder), where they completed their pre-university education between 2002 and 2010.

Additionally, Dr. Zellner has pursued additional certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. In 2018, they attended the MaxQuant Summer School at the MaxPlanck Institute of biochemistry under the guidance of Prof. Juergen Cox, PhD. Furthermore, in 2017, they obtained a certification in Good Manufacturing Practice from Thomas Beer und Tobias Halfpap GbR.
