Ken B. Vejbaek

Technical Engineer SME at Bavarian Nordic

Ken B. Vejbaek has extensive work experience in various engineering and technical roles. Ken has worked at multiple companies, including Bavarian Nordic, LEO Pharma A/S, AlfaNordic A/S, Biogen Idec (Denmark) Manufacturing ApS, Ellab A/S, Technological Institute TI, Chr. Hansen A/S, Lindab Ventilation AB, Force Technology (Danish Maritime Institute DMI), and the Technical University of Denmark.

In their most recent role at Bavarian Nordic, they served as a Technical Engineer SME, responsible for Instrumentation and Measurement Technology in manufacturing processes and process equipment. At LEO Pharma A/S, they worked as a Validation SME on Sterile and Non-sterile processes and equipment, participating in a project to optimize and digitalize validation and calibration documentation.

At AlfaNordic A/S, they worked as an Engineering Consultant on the specification, purchasing, and qualification of GMP critical ultra-low-temperature upright freezers. Ken conducted pre-test work and qualification tests to ensure performance and accuracy.

Prior to that, at Biogen Idec (Denmark) Manufacturing ApS, they served as an Engineer III Validation, specializing in thermal validation of equipment used in drug manufacturing and storage. At Ellab A/S, they worked as a Laboratory and Calibration Manager, providing accredited calibration documentation within temperature, pressure, humidity, and derived units.

Ken also worked as an Engineering Consultant and Laboratory Manager at Technological Institute TI, mainly focusing on accredited testing and qualifying materials and structures. At Chr. Hansen A/S, they served as a Project Engineer and site calibration lead in the process equipment calibration department.

Earlier in their career, they worked as an Electrical Project Engineer on IT solutions at Lindab Ventilation AB, developing IT solutions for ventilation and HVAC component testing. Ken also worked as a Software Engineer at Force Technology (Danish Maritime Institute DMI), developing software applications for testing offshore constructions.

Ken started their career at the Technical University of Denmark's Department of Structural Engineering and Materials, working on the development of test systems for materials testing and structural construction testing for Danish industries and bridge consortia.

Ken B. Vejbaek holds broad expertise in instrumentation, validation, calibration, qualification, and test systems development. Their work has encompassed various industries, including pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, and construction.

Ken B. Vejbaek obtained their Bachelor of Applied Science in Beer Science and Technology from Wageningen University & Research in 2018. Prior to that, they earned a degree in Electrical Engineering from DTU - Technical University of Denmark between the years 1989 and 1994. In 1983, Ken completed their Technical Metrologist degree in Measurement Technology and Statistics from Technical College Slagelse.
