Matthias Kinzler

Matthias Kinzler has a diverse work experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry. Matthias recently worked at Bavarian Nordic as the Senior Director Strategy and Development, and also served as the Deputy Site Head. Prior to that, they held the same positions at Emergent BioSolutions. Before joining Bavarian Nordic, Kinzler was with PaxVax, Inc. where they held multiple roles including Senior Director Technical Operations, Senior Director Project Management / Business Development, and Project Manager New Products and CMC. Matthias also worked at Cytos Biotechnology AG as a Technical Project Leader and as the Head Process Development and Production. Kinzler also gained expertise in business development and project management during their time at Advens AG. Additionally, they cycled from Switzerland to Malaysia during a gap year in 2009. Kinzler began their career at Cytos Biotechnology AG as an Engineer, and progressed to become a Group Leader and a Technical Project Leader. Matthias'sextensive work experience showcases their strong leadership skills and technical expertise in the industry.

Matthias Kinzler's education history begins in 1993 when they attended ETH Zürich and pursued a degree in Organische Chemie, which they completed in 1996. In the following year, they attended Berufsmaturitätsschule Zürich, where they obtained a degree in Technisch. From 1997 to 2001, they attended Zürcher Hochschule Winterthur, earning a degree in Chemie. In 2008, they briefly attended the University of Zurich, where they studied General Management and obtained a CAS degree. Finally, in 2016, they attended the Project Management Institute, earning a PMP Project Management Professional degree in Project Management.
