Giusy Parlato has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Giusy began their career in 2016 with a professional internship at the Comune di Acireale, where they performed administrative tasks and provided school mediation at a local institute. In the same year, they also served as an assistant in organizing classrooms at the Università degli Studi di Catania.
In 2019, Giusy joined Associazione Elios Acireale as a volunteer under the Servizio Civile Nazionale program, where they provided logistic support for association activities and conducted surveys to analyze territorial issues. Giusy also organized social promotion and anti-discrimination activities. In the same organization, they participated in a youth exchange program under the Erasmus+ program, collaborating on project design, logistic organization, and organizing the first Human Library in Sicily.
In June 2019, Giusy attended a training course on transferring skills across borders, organized by Fundacja IRSE as part of the Erasmus+ program. Giusy gained experience in team working, discrimination, and informal education.
In 2020, they took part in Enel Group's Hackathon workshop, where they developed an innovative project from ideation to final presentation.
Giusy's most recent role is as a Junior Project Manager at BaxEnergy, starting in April 2021.
Giusy Parlato attended Università di Catania from 2013 to 2017, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Scienze Politiche, with a focus on Sociology. Giusy then pursued further education at the same university from 2017 to 2020, completing a degree in Sociologia delle reti, dell'informazione e dell'innovazione. In 2020, they enrolled in a Project Management course at Free Mind Foundry Academy.
In addition to their academic qualifications, Giusy Parlato has obtained certifications in various subjects. In September 2020, they completed courses on "Adolescenti e Internet" and "Dipendenze da Internet: Cyberbullismo, Grooming e Sexting" at Life Learning. Giusy also participated in the "Trasferring Skills Across The Borders" program offered by the Erasmus Mundus Programme in June 2019.
