Jonathan Surridge

Jonathan Surridge has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Jonathan most recently served as the Chief Financial Officer at Bay Alarm Company from November 2019. Prior to that, they held the same position at Lumity, Inc. from August 2017 to November 2019. Jonathan also has experience as the CEO and Chief Compliance Officer at RealtyShares Securities LLC from March 2016 to July 2017, and as the VP of Finance at RealtyShares from January 2016 to July 2017.

Before their time at RealtyShares, Jonathan was the Chief Financial Officer at Motif Investing from December 2011 to August 2015, where they established accounting policies, managed audits, and implemented regulatory procedures. Jonathan also served as the Director of Research at Motif Investing from October 2010 to December 2011, where they collaborated with company founders to develop a new investment product.

Jonathan's earlier experience includes roles at Wells Fargo Securities, LLC as Vice President from November 2006 to October 2010, Thomas Weisel Partners LLC as Senior Associate from April 2005 to August 2006, Charles Schwab & Co. Jonathan Surridge completed their B.A. in Political Science from Yale University between 1991 and 1995. Later, they pursued an MBA in Finance from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, which they completed from 1999 to 2001. In addition to their degrees, Jonathan also holds various certifications related to the financial industry, including the Series 24, Series 27, Series 4, Series 55, Series 63, and Series 7, all obtained from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
