Karen Schkolnick has a diverse work experience in the environmental sector. Karen started their career in 1996 as a Public Outreach Assistant/Intern at the City and County of San Francisco. Karen then joined the County of Monterey in 1998, where they held various positions including Recycling Programs Coordinator/Senior and Supervising Environmental Health Specialist. In 2006, they moved to the Bay Area Air Quality Management District, where they initially served as Manager of Communications & Outreach. Karen later transitioned to become Manager of Strategic Incentives and eventually rose to the role of Director of Strategic Incentives. Karen has demonstrated a strong commitment to the environment and has developed expertise in strategic incentives and outreach programs.
Karen Schkolnick has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies from Oberlin College. Karen also holds a certification as a Registered Environmental Health Specialist from the California Department of Public Health, obtained in December 2000.
