Karina Herold is an accomplished sports management professional with extensive experience in major event operations and organizational leadership. Currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer for the Bay Area Host Committee, Karina is pivotal in orchestrating significant sporting events, including the 2025 NBA All-Star Game and the 2026 FIFA World Cup. In addition, Karina holds the position of President at SH Advisors, LLC and is an Adjunct Professor at California Lutheran University, instructing in the School of Management. Previously, Karina was the Vice President of Major Events at the Los Angeles Sports & Entertainment Commission, overseeing critical aspects of high-profile events such as the Super Bowl. Karina's career also includes a series of leadership roles at Pepperdine University, where responsibilities encompassed corporate partnerships and marketing within the Athletics Department. Karina's academic credentials include a Master’s in Sport Management and an MBA from the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst, as well as a Bachelor's in Human Development from UC San Diego.
