Sailesh Kumar

Sailesh Kumar has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Sailesh is currently serving as the CEO of Baya Systems since March 2023. Prior to this role, they worked at Intel Corporation as an Intel Fellow from September 2018 to March 2023. Before Intel, Sailesh was the Founder and CTO of NetSpeed Systems, a company that was acquired by Intel. Sailesh pioneered software defined interconnect during their time there from August 2011 to September 2018. Sailesh also worked as the Chief Architect at Huawei, USA from May 2009 to August 2011 and as a Software Engineer at Cisco Systems from February 2008 to May 2009. Sailesh began their career as a Graduate Research Assistant at Washington University from January 2004 to December 2007. Sailesh also gained industry experience as an Intern at Cisco Systems in 2005 and as a Senior Design Engineer at Paxonet Communications from May 2000 to December 2003, which was later acquired by Conexant.

Sailesh Kumar completed their B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur from 1996 to 2000. Sailesh then pursued a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Washington University in St. Louis, which they completed from 2004 to 2007.
