Michelle Hresko is an experienced professional in the field of plant biotechnology, currently serving as Global Portfolio Lead for Disease Management at Bayer Crop Science since November 2016. In this role, Michelle Hresko leads interactions related to disease with external collaborators and explores new opportunities in disease and yield traits. Previously, Michelle Hresko held multiple leadership positions, including Disease Traits Platform/Project Lead, where management of a diverse team focused on the biotech strategy for disease control in corn and soy took place. Prior to joining Bayer, Michelle Hresko worked as BioDirect Mechanism Lead at Monsanto Company from February 2011 to November 2016 and held the position of Director of Discovery Research at Divergence Inc from August 2001 to February 2011. Michelle Hresko earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biology from The Johns Hopkins University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Genetics at Washington University in St. Louis.
