Smita Sudheer

Smita Sudheer is an accomplished researcher and academic with extensive experience in stem cell biology and genomic science. Currently, Smita serves as the Head of Laboratory at Bayer since May 2023, and as Faculty and Head of the Stem Cell Laboratory at the Central University of Kerala since June 2016, where responsibilities include project management, team oversight, and curriculum development. Previous positions include Senior Scientist at Catalent Cell and Gene Therapy, Research Fellow at the University of Edinburgh, and Postdoctoral Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics, where Smita contributed to significant research projects and published findings. Smita holds a PhD in Natural Sciences from the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics and has advanced academic qualifications in biotechnology and bioinformatics.
