Carolyn L Smith

Carolyn Smith has extensive experience in the academic field, currently serving as the Dean of the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and as a Professor of Molecular & Cellular Biology at Baylor College of Medicine since July 1996. Prior roles at Baylor include Interim Dean, Senior Associate Dean of Graduate Education, and Assistant Dean for Curriculum within the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. Carolyn's academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Toronto followed by a Doctor of Philosophy in Biochemistry from Western University, completing the PhD in 1992. Carolyn also completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine from December 1991 to June 1994.
