Senior Laboratory Manager, Biochemical Genetics at Baylor Genetics

Brittany Kiehler-Janish, PhD, currently serves as the Senior Laboratory Manager in Biochemical Genetics at Baylor Genetics, having held various positions within the organization since August 2017. Prior to this role, Brittany was a PhD researcher at the University of Houston from August 2012 to September 2019, focusing on the inhibition of sporulation phosphorelay in Bacillus subtilis under the guidance of Dr. Masaya Fujita. Previous research experience includes serving as a graduate student at the University of North Texas from August 2010 to August 2012, where Brittany investigated sigma factor activity inhibition in Brucella ovis in Dr. Michael Allen's lab. Academically, Brittany holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Houston and a Master's degree in Molecular Biology, alongside a Bachelor's degree in Biology, both obtained from the University of North Texas.
