Reynold Akumah

Reynold Akumah currently serves as a Data Privacy Manager at the BBC, focusing on the implementation of internal data protection compliance and operational privacy practices. In this role, Reynold collaborates with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with UK data protection laws. Prior experience includes serving as a Data Privacy Consultant at PA Consulting and as a Senior Consultant in Privacy & Data Governance at EY, where Reynold conducted gap assessments and privacy audits for clients. Reynold also held the position of Senior Policy Advisor for Data Protection at the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, advising on GDPR policies and economic impact analyses. Earlier roles included contract management at the Department for Education and performance analysis at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government. Reynold holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Criminology from The University of Manchester.
