Shireen Jiwan has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Starting in 1997, they began their career at Turner, where they worked as an Account Planner until 1998. From there, they joined Fallon as a Senior Planner until 2001. Shireen then moved on to Ogilvy & Mather, where they served as a Planning Director until 2004.
In 2004, Shireen founded Sleuth Brand Consulting, a company focused on developing and activating brands to drive business growth. At Sleuth, they held the position of Founder & Chief Investigator until November 2020. During their time at Sleuth, Shireen also founded another venture, Sleuth Brand Consulting, where they continued to serve as Founder and Chief Investigator until January 2023.
In 2015, Shireen joined Lucky Brand as the Chief Brand Experience Officer. Their role involved reviving the brand through storytelling, cultural context, and engaging with fans. Shireen held this position until August 2016.
After Lucky Brand, Shireen joined WPP in 2018 as the Global Chief Strategy Officer for Microsoft. Shireen held this position until December 2019.
Following their time at WPP, Shireen joined Amazon in November 2020 as the Principal Brand Strategist. Shireen worked in this role until January 2023.
Most recently, in February 2023, Shireen joined BBDO Worldwide as the EVP, Group Strategy Director, and Chief Strategy Officer for Meta at BBDO.
Shireen Jiwan completed their BA Hons in Political Science & Philosophy from Huron University between 1993 and 1997.
