Enrique Mendez Yap Sam

Enrique Mendez Yap Sam has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and companies. Enrique worked at BBVA en Perú from 2015 to the present, starting as a Senior System Software Engineer and progressing to roles such as Sub Gerente de Validación y Regulación and Sub Gerente de Control Interno y Riesgo Operacional. Enrique then joined BBVA Consumer Finance as the Head of Operational Risk and Business Continuity from 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, they worked at Mibanco as a Senior Internal Auditor in 2012. Their earlier experience includes being a Senior IT Lead at Hipotecaria SURA (a. InCasa EAH - Grupo Wiese ING) from 2008 to 2012 and a Senior System Software Engineer at Caja Metropolitana de Lima from 2006 to 2008. Throughout their career, Enrique has continually taken on roles with increasing responsibility in risk management, internal control, and auditing.

Enrique Mendez Yap Sam has an extensive education history. Enrique obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Universidad del Pacífico in Peru from 2017 to 2019. In 2018, they participated in the Global Immersion Program for MBA Strategy and Innovation at Esade.

In 2006 and 2007, they pursued a Diploma in Information Technology and Telecommunications Administration from Universidad ESAN. Prior to that, they attended Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego, where they earned a degree in Computer and Systems Engineering.

Enrique Mendez Yap Sam also holds a certification as an ISO 31000 Risk Manager from PECB, which they obtained in January 2024.
