Joao Ribeiro has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Joao began their career as a Practicante de Investigación Económica at the Banco Central de Reserva del Perú in 2009. Joao then worked as an Analyst at APOYO Consultoria, where they were responsible for macroeconomic analysis and projections.
In 2013, Joao joined the Ministerio de Economía y Finanzas as an Analyst, focusing on market analysis and econometric projections. Joao later moved to Banco de Crédito BCP, where they held the roles of Subgerente de Estudios Económicos and Gerente Adjunto de Analytics y Modelos de Pricing.
Joao also has experience in academia, working as a Pre-Docente at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and as a Professor of Macroeconomía Avanzada and Econometría 1 - Maestría de Economía at the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas.
Currently, Joao is employed at BBVA en Perú as a Pricing & Analytics Senior Manager, responsible for developing and implementing pricing strategies in collaboration with the organization's product disciplines. Joao also serves as a Strategy & Pricing Principal Manager, articulating initiatives to achieve strategic and tactical objectives through pricing leverage.
Joao Ribeiro has a Master's degree in Economics from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, which they obtained from 2012 to 2013. Joao also holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the same university, completed from 2004 to 2010. In addition to their academic qualifications, Joao has obtained certifications in "Fundamentals of Quantitative Modeling" from The Wharton School and "Applied Machine Learning in Python" from the University of Michigan in 2022.
