Fernando Antúnez García

Fernando Antúnez García has extensive experience in Information Technology, currently serving as Head of IT Asia and Head of Global Markets Technology Asia at BBVA since April 2008. This role involves managing a distributed team of support and development engineers across Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Shanghai. Previously, Fernando led Front Office development and support teams, implementing Agile methodologies to enhance the global development life cycle. As a founder of Iberico Limited (HK), expertise was demonstrated in setting up a food import and distribution business. Early career contributions include IT support at the Consulate General of Spain in Hong Kong and web development for Adamant Märksystem AB. Fernando holds multiple degrees, including a Master of Science in Computer Science and a Master of Finance from Universidad de Granada and The University of Hong Kong, respectively, alongside completing several nanodegree programs in Artificial Intelligence and Data Analysis at Udacity.
