Carolyn Starke

Carolyn Starke has extensive work experience in various roles related to development and communications. Carolyn joined BBYO in 2019 as a Manager of Development Communications and later became the Director of Campaign and Donor Communications in July 2021. Prior to BBYO, they worked as a Consultant at NYU Entrepreneurial Institute from August 2018 to May 2019. Carolyn also served as a Development Intern at the Clinton Foundation from September 2018 to December 2018, and at the Citizens Committee for New York City from September 2017 to August 2018. Earlier in their career, they held positions such as Director of Teen Engagement & Experiences at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh from July 2015 to June 2017, Director of Teen Learning at the Agency for Jewish Learning from July 2014 to July 2015, and Youth Director at Congregation Beth Shalom from May 2010 to June 2013.

Carolyn Starke received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Studies from the University of Pittsburgh. Carolyn then went on to pursue a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree with a focus on Public and Nonprofit Management and Policy at New York University from 2017 to 2019. In addition to their degrees, Carolyn also obtained a certification in Microsoft Office Excel 2016 Expert Certification: Interpreting Data for Insights from Microsoft in March 2019. Carolyn Starke also attended the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies in 2013 and 2014, although no degree or field of study information was provided for this period.
