Brian Payne, CFA, CAIA has a diverse work experience in the investment industry. Brian currently serves as the Chief Strategist, Private Markets & Alternatives (PMA) at BCA Research since December 2022. Prior to this, Brian worked as an Investment Officer at the Teachers' Retirement System of Illinois from May 2017 to July 2022. Before that, they were an Associate at Potomac River Capital, LLC from May 2015 to December 2016. Brian began their career as an Alternative Investments Analyst at Fortigent, LLC from October 2012 to May 2015.

Brian Payne, CFA, CAIA has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics & Political Science from St. Mary's College of Maryland. Prior to that, they attended Calvert Hall College High School. In addition to their undergraduate education, Brian has obtained the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) certification from the CAIA Association and the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification from the CFA Institute.
