María Maldonado-Gómez

Maria Maldonado-Gomez is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in microbiology and food science. Currently serving as Principal Scientist in the MicroBiology Group at one.bio since January 2020, Maria previously held roles as a Senior Scientist at the same company, and as a Postdoctoral Scholar in Dr. David Mills' laboratory at UC Davis from September 2016 to January 2020. Maria's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Food Science and Technology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where studies focused on microbial interactions and prebiotic applications. Additional research experience includes work as a Graduate Research Assistant for both master's and doctoral studies, and earlier roles as a Student Researcher at Universidad de La Sabana and a Researcher at Alquería, exploring topics related to food safety and functional properties of agricultural products.
