Flor Puentes has a diverse work experience in the field of epidemiology. Flor has held various roles in multiple organizations, showcasing their expertise and knowledge in public health. Most recently, they served as the Epidemiologist Director at BCFS Health & Human Services starting in July 2022. Before that, they worked as the Lead Epidemiologist at The City of El Paso Texas from October 2021 to July 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Epidemiologist at the CITY OF EL PASO DEPT OF PUBLIC HEALTH from June 2019 to December 2020. Flor Puentes earned their Bachelor of Science in Health Science, with a minor in Psychology, from The University of Texas at El Paso. Flor then went on to further their education at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston), where they obtained a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Epidemiology.
