Public Health Officer (prn) at BCFS

Monica Schnelle, MPH has extensive work experience in the public health sector. Monica started their career as a Clinical Research Coordinator at Millennium Clinical Trials, LLC, where they led the coordination of interdisciplinary teams on high enrolling studies.

Monica then worked as a Global Health Advocacy Intern at RESULTS Educational Fund, conducting extensive literature reviews and researching barriers to TB diagnosis and treatment facing women of reproductive age.

Monica later joined the Peace Corps, where they took on various roles including Community HIV/AIDS Advisor, managing a youth development program and conducting a community needs assessment.

Monica also worked at the Hawaii State Department of Health as a Program Manager, overseeing programs and initiatives. Monica then moved on to BCFS Health & Human Services as a Public Health Officer on a PRN basis.

Currently, Monica is working at The Center for Health Care Services as a Community Behavioral Health Analyst. In this role, they participate in the development and evaluation of policies and procedures, collaborates with multiple business units and stakeholders, and conducts research and data validation.

Throughout their career, Monica has demonstrated expertise in project management, data analysis, and strategic planning. Monica holds a Master of Public Health degree.

Monica Schnelle, MPH, obtained a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) degree in Global Health Design, Monitoring, and Evaluation from The George Washington University- Milken Institute School of Public Health from 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree at The University of Kansas between 2002 and 2007. Their areas of study included Pre-Medicine, Human Biology, and Germanic Languages and Literature. Monica also spent a year studying Germanic Languages and Literature at The University of Bonn from 2004 to 2005. Monica completed their secondary education at Wichita Independent School from 1998 to 2002.
