Fati Z. Ahmed has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Fati Z. began their career as a Research Assistant at Emory University School of Medicine in 2005. From 2006 to 2010, they worked as an Artist Liaison for the A3C Festival. In 2007, they served as a Community Building and Social Change Fellow at Hollowell Partners on Education (HOPE).
In 2009, Fati joined Demos: Ideas & Action as a Development Associate & Gala Coordinator. Fati Z. then moved to Florida State University in 2011, where they worked as an Instructor in the English Department until 2014. During this time, they also took on the role of a Poetry Editor at Revolution House from 2010 to 2015.
Fati returned to the A3C Festival in 2013, this time as an Assistant General Manager and later as an Academic Conference Coordinator. In 2015, they joined BCG BrightHouse as a Strategist and gradually progressed to Senior Strategist, Associate Strategy Director, and currently holds the position of Director of Strategy since May 2021.
Fati Z. Ahmed completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and English-Creative Writing from Emory University, graduating in the year 2008. Post-graduation, they pursued their Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Creative Writing from Florida State University, which they completed in 2014.
