Jessica van Hoogevest

Jessica Van Hoogevest has extensive experience in the legal field, with a focus on general counsel roles. Jessica most recently served as the General Counsel & Director of Information Management at BCLC since September 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Eigen Development as the General Counsel from August 2008 to September 2020. Jessica also served as an Associate at Lawson Lundell LLP from 2007 to 2008, at Alexander Holburn Beaudin + Lang LLP from 2006 to 2007, and as a Summer Student/Articled Student at Torys LLP from 2003 to 2005. Jessica began their career as a Second Lieutenant with the Canadian Armed Forces from 1998 to 2002.

Jessica Van Hoogevest attended Camosun College from 1996 to 1997 for University Transfer studies. Jessica then went on to the University of Victoria from 1997 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Sociology. Jessica then pursued further education at the University of Ottawa from 2001 to 2004, earning an LL.B. degree in Law. Lastly, they attended Kyushu University from 2005 to 2006, where they completed an LL.M. degree in International Business Law.
