Robert Long

Robert Long is an experienced engineering professional with a robust background in Instrumentation and Control (I&C) design and maintenance. Currently serving as an I&C Consulting Engineer at RSL Safety Corporation since June 2023, Robert supports an East Coast Small Modular Reactor (SMR) new build project. Prior to this role, Robert worked as a Senior Project Manager at BCP Engineers & Consultants, leading the first digital upgrade of a nuclear Control Room in the U.S. and transitioning Surry from 1960s technology to a modern digital control room. With extensive experience at Preferred Licensing Services as a Senior Engineer, Robert has successfully completed 26 projects involving PPC, DCS, and Security Computer upgrades over a career spanning over thirty-eight years. Previous positions include Electrical Engineer at Enserv and Senior Electrical Engineer at Dominion Virginia Power, showcasing a steady progression in the field of electrical and control systems engineering.
