Carlos Alberto Ortega

Carlos Alberto Ortega Cordero is the current President of Accion Pro Educación y Cultura APEC and has served as Managing Partner and International Liaison Partner at BDO Dominicana since 1990. Ortega Cordero has held a variety of leadership roles, including being a board member of Fundacion APEC, Inc. from October 2015 to November 2023, and serving as Treasurer for the Secretariado Arquidiocesano de Movimientos de Cursillos de Cristiandad from September 2005 to August 2009. Previous positions also include President of the Committee on Qualifications and Ethics at ICPARD and various roles at Arthur Andersen & Co. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Corporate Finance from Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Universidad APEC, alongside executive management training at Barna Management School. Additionally, Ortega Cordero participated in an English program at Rutgers University.
