Aretha. Chen

Aretha Chen is a seasoned tax professional with extensive experience in federal, state, and international tax matters. Currently serving as a Tax Principal and Tax Managing Director at BDO USA since May 2021, Aretha previously worked at PwC from September 1996 to May 2021, where the role of Tax Director was held. Aretha is proficient in addressing complex tax challenges, including reorganizations, acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, federal and state audit assistance, as well as state and international tax planning. Aretha holds a Master’s degree in Tax from Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, earned between 1992 and 1996.
