Nicoletta “Nicki” Tessler, Psy.D., M.B.A.

Nicoletta "Nicki" Tessler, Psy.D., M.B.A. has extensive experience in the field of behavioral health. Nicoletta “Nicki” is currently the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of BeMe Health, an early-stage digital behavioral health company. In this role, they combine technology and human connection to support the emotional well-being of teenagers and make mental health more accessible.

Prior to their current position, Nicki served as the Divisional Vice President of Operations at UHS for approximately 3 years. In this role, they provided senior-level leadership to multiple hospitals across multiple states and successfully managed the operational and financial demands of a large behavioral health business. Their strategic leadership sparked improvements in revenue, profit, cash flow, and productivity.

Before UHS, Nicki held the position of Regional Vice President of Behavioral Health Services at HCA East Florida Division. In this role, they achieved profitable growth and clinical excellence by providing innovative executive-level leadership to HCA Florida facilities. Nicoletta “Nicki” was responsible for financial targets while maintaining high-quality patient care standards.

Earlier in their career, Nicki served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of the Jackson Behavioral Health Hospital and Jackson Community Mental Health Centers. Their leadership led to a turnaround of an underperforming facility and the implementation of initiatives that brought humanity back to behavioral healthcare. Nicoletta “Nicki” also held various roles at Jackson Health System, including Director of Mental Health Outpatient, Strategic Partnerships, and Innovative Programs, Director of Training and Research, and Director of Adult Outpatient Services. In these roles, they drove growth, developed strategic initiatives, and oversaw training programs.

Additionally, Nicki worked as a Consultant at Otsuka American Pharmaceutical Inc. (OAPI), where they bridged Otsuka with IBM to offer a digital health solution in Miami and partnered with Otsuka to deploy the solution across South Florida Behavioral Health Network.

Nicoletta “Nicki” started their career as a Supervising Psychologist in the Department of OB/GYN Special Immunology at the University of Miami.

Throughout their career, Nicki has consistently demonstrated strong leadership skills and a commitment to improving mental health services. Their accomplishments include securing commercial relationships, driving transformational strategies, increasing patient volume, and securing research grants.

Nicoletta “Nicki” Tessler, Psy.D., M.B.A. completed their education in a variety of fields. Nicoletta “Nicki” began their educational journey at Lynn University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Following this, they attended Pepperdine University and earned a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology.

Continuing their studies, Tessler enrolled at the University of Denver and completed a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree with a specialization in Clinical Psychology. Later on, they pursued an M.B.A. at the University of Miami, specializing in Health Sector Management and Policy.

In addition to their academic achievements, Tessler also holds two certifications. Nicoletta “Nicki” is a licensed psychologist, which they obtained in 2005. More recently, in 2012, they became a Six Sigma Champion.
