For nearly 100 years, Sir Francis Drake Hotel has called upon guests, visitors, and locals alike to come together, celebrate, and make history. Our new moniker, Beacon Grand, distinguishes our latest experiences and celebrates our iconic status and forever purpose as a social circle at Union Square.

The hotel opens a next chapter in 2022, re-dedicated to serving as a social beacon at the heart of The City. Under the stewardship of Northview Hotel Group, operators of landmark hospitality destinations across the nation, the storied past shines again and lights the way for staff, guests, and San Franciscans alike. As Cable Cars rumble past the front door, revamped rooms and celebrated public spaces will emerge within. A new social circle on Union Square will again lure people to the heart of The City, where history is forever starting now.
