Michael Messmer

Michael Messmer has a diverse work experience in the field of sports medicine and general medicine. Michael has worked as a Medical Director at Beacon Health System since 2016, overseeing medical and preventative care programs. Prior to that, they were the Director of Sports Medicine at Mount Carmel Health System from 2014 to 2016. Michael also served as a Sports Medicine Physician/Director at St Francis Hospital from 2011 to 2014. Additionally, they have worked as a Sports Medicine Fellow at Metro Health in 2010 and as a Family Practice Resident at St. James's Hospital from 2007 to 2010.

Michael Messmer earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Central Michigan University in 2003 and a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2007. Michael has also obtained certifications in Family Medicine and Sports Medicine from the American Osteopathic Association, and is a Fellow of the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine.
