Sweta Gupta, PhD, currently serves as Clinical Biomarker Lead Scientist at Beam Therapeutics, where responsibilities include leading biomarker clinical assays for the Beam-301 program and overseeing clinical assays for the Beam-201 and Beam-302 programs. Previous experience includes a role as Senior Scientist at Beam Therapeutics, focusing on the design and optimization of clinical assays and collaboration with Contract Research Organizations for biomarker assay development. Prior to this, Sweta held the position of Scientist II at GreenLight Biosciences, Inc., specializing in assay development and validation for gene therapy related to Sickle Cell Disease and mentoring junior staff. Sweta's extensive postdoctoral experience includes work at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital, involving CRISPR screening and 3D model development, as well as a prior postdoctoral role at the University of Rhode Island focused on cancer research. Sweta holds a PhD in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, and a Bachelor's Degree in Zoology/Animal Biology from Delhi University.
