Brian Ruiz Ph.D., Dabr

Brian Ruiz, PhD, DABR, is a seasoned medical physicist currently serving at Beaufort Memorial Hospital since April 2020. Prior to this role, Brian held the position of Chief Medical Physicist at Hannleb Physics from August 2016 to April 2020 and worked as an Oncology Physicist at Alliance HealthCare Services from October 2012 to August 2016, where responsibilities included overseeing advanced imaging and treatment technologies. Brian's earlier experience includes serving as a Research Assistant at East Carolina University in the Department of Radiation Oncology and as a Teaching Assistant for general physics courses. Brian began a career in the field as an Electronics Technician at FLAMEX Inc., providing system installations and support. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Biomedical Physics and an MS in Medical Physics from East Carolina University, along with a BS in Physics from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
