Shannon Adams has a diverse and extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Shannon started their career as a Registered Nurse at Saint Joseph-London in 2008 and later became a House Supervisor at the same hospital from 2012 to 2014. In 2014, they joined Kentucky Rural Health Information Technology as a Project Manager for P.A.C.T., where they led initiatives to improve patient navigation services and collaborated with regional health agencies. Shannon then returned to Saint Joseph-London in 2017 as the Director of Medical-Surgical Units until 2020. Currently, they hold the position of Director of 3T Medical Department at Beaufort Memorial Hospital.
Shannon Adams earned an Associate's degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from Somerset Community College, where they attended and graduated from between 1992 and 1996. Later on, they pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Nursing Administration from Walden University, which they attended from 2011 to 2014.
