Heather Meiring

Heather Meiring began their work experience in 2007 as a Science Teacher at the New Fairfield Board of Education. Heather held this position until 2014 when they joined the Beaverton School District as a Science Teacher. In 2022, they started working at The University of Texas at Austin as a Consulting Teacher for the Engineer Your World: Computing program, where they collaborate with staff and other Consulting Teachers to provide professional development and support to teachers implementing the Engineering Applications of Computer Science course.

Heather Meiring has a strong educational background in Chemical Engineering. Heather started their undergraduate studies in 1997 at The University of Texas at Austin, where they received their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering in 2001. Building on their undergraduate education, they pursued further academic achievements and attended The University of Texas at Austin from 2001 to 2005, ultimately obtaining their Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering.
