Lisette McNassar has a diverse work experience in the education field. Starting in 1998, they were a Lead Preschool Teacher at Children's Garden Learning Center. In 1999, they worked as a Certified Substitute Teacher K-8 at Archdiocese of Portland. The same year, they also worked as an ESL Teacher at Vose Elementary School in the Beaverton School District. From 2000 to 2004, they taught 5th grade at Vose Elementary School. In 2001, they were a Music Teacher at Ethos, Inc. Lisette then joined NWEA in 2012 as an Educational Research Project Analyst. Finally, since 2011, they have been working at the Beaverton School District, initially as an ESL Teacher at Aloha Huber Park K-8 School, followed by roles as an Instructional Assistant and Math, Literacy, and Spanish Teacher at the same school.
Lisette McNassar earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from the University of Portland, which they completed from 1994 to 1999. Lisette later pursued a Masters of Education degree in Instructional Leadership from the same university, which they obtained from 2003 to 2005. In May 2020, Lisette also received a Teaching License from the Teacher Standards & Practices Commission in Oregon.
