J. Scott Leonard

J. Scott Leonard has a diverse and extensive work experience in the real estate and construction industry. J. Scott is currently serving as the Corporate Vice President of Field Operations at Beazer Homes since June 2023, where they lead various corporate teams supporting divisions nationwide. Prior to this role, they held positions as the Corporate VP of Land Development and Field Ops at Beazer Homes from October 2018 to June 2023, and as the Corporate VP of Land Development from July 2015 to October 2018.

Before joining Beazer Homes, J. Scott Leonard worked as the Managing Director of Land Development at Minerva USA from September 2013 to July 2015. J. Scott was responsible for managing all land development and field operations, overseeing projects such as the Chattahoochee Hills Charter School and urban infill properties.

From December 2008 to September 2013, they served as the Managing Director at Bullock Mannelly Partners, Inc. In this role, they gained significant experience in the industry.

Prior to that, J. Scott Leonard was the President & Owner of The Landon Group, Inc. from February 2002 to December 2008. J. Scott successfully developed and sold real estate projects and cleared significant financial commitments.

Their earlier work experience includes positions as the Director of Land Development at McCar Homes from July 1998 to February 2002, Division Land Manager at Colony Homes, LLC from September 1997 to July 1998, and various roles including Corporate Ops Mgr and Land Development Ops Mgr at John Wieland Homes from May 1993 to September 1997.

J. Scott Leonard holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from the University of Virginia. J. Scott also has a Master's degree in Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including a Creative Writing Certificate from Emory University, a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Licensed Qualifying Broker certification from the Georgia Real Estate Commission. J. Scott is also certified in OSHA 10 - Construction Safety & Health and SWPP Plan Reviewer - Level II by the Georgia Soil & Water Conservation Commission (GSWCC).
