Melanie Wieland

Melanie Wieland is an Electrical Engineer at Bechtel Plant Machinery, Inc. since February 2016, following a brief tenure as a Cashier at Giant Eagle, Inc. in early 2016. Melanie's experience includes roles as a Grader and Undergraduate Research Assistant at West Virginia University, contributing to the fabrication of photonic crystals under Dr. Jeremy Dawson, as well as serving as a Statler Ambassador to support recruitment events. Prior engineering experience includes an internship at Axiall Corporation, where Melanie developed preventative maintenance procedures for relays, and a Customer Service internship at Amazon. Melanie holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from West Virginia University, obtained in 2015, and graduated from Chartiers Valley High School in 2012.
